Our 4th Annual MK retreat is coming soon -
and you are INVITED!!
This year it will be at ONU (Olivet Nazarene University). The dates are August 1-5, 2008.
There is no cost for you to attend, you just have to find your way to
and from ONU for those dates. (Your parents have permission to cover
this cost out of their deputation accounts from HQ) MNU will be taking
a bus to ONU, so if you can get to Kansas City by July 31
we can include you in on that free transportation up. More information
will be coming about specifics to the event once I know you are
coming.
What is this event all about?
It
will partly be a time to get together as MK's. As an MK myself, I was
always amazed at that instant connection that allowed me to understand
other MK's without having to explain myself and vice versa. That
connection is magical and I LOVE watching you guys interact.
It is also going to be a time where we will grow closer to God as we have a deep spiritual emphasis throughout the event.
This
event is for College-age MK's so we will have some reentry sessions and
times to talk about what helps and what doesn't as you figure out
College life.
We will also have fun at ONU going into Chicago on Saturday and may even be able to see the Chicago Bears
practice on the ONU campus (this is tentative). Basically it will be a
lot of fun and you will come away with friendships that will last your
whole life!
I would love to see you all -wouldn't that be so much fun if everyone could come:)
Just
to try to get a head count, I would love to hear from you all if you
are planning on coming, can't come or just have questions! As I know
who is coming I'll send out a list of MK's that are coming so you can
see if you know anyone:)
